Synopsis

The story of a young woman, Maria Acosta, a migrant farm worker in the fields of Southern California. Maria has just learned that she is pregnant and her life takes a turn for the worse when she finds that the father of her unborn child is in the country illegally. In the face of steep odds Maria’s greatest struggle is simply to keep her fledgling family together.
